And I did not die in vain,
If I were alive and my Country called,
I’d do it all over again.

Brave: One who shows courage.
Hero: One with great courage and strength.
Veterans: Brave, courageous and strong.
February 16, 1973. On this day, my husband, Art James, put his feet back on American soil after serving our Nation in the U.S. Army.
I did not know Art then, but I do appreciate the sacrifice he made so long ago. Art is my husband, my friend, my partner. He is also my hero.
It matters to me just to let you know. Let us each celebrate this anniversary, perhaps welcome him home in your own way.
While you help me celebrate this day, keep in mind the many other service men and women who continue to serve our country today.
Here at HAYS Cleaning, we celebrate and honor the many men and women who have given service to our country by providing complimentary cleaning services during the Memorial Day and Veterans Day holidays.
There are so many ways to show appreciation:
I remember every day to acknowledge them all; to all who have served, I say a prayer for you every day. Tell us about your brave heroes. How do you celebrate our veterans and active servicemen and servicewomen?

With the launch of the “Above & Beyond Award,” it was our intention to honor a local veteran with 15 hours of free housecleaning.
When the program was planned, we thought it was a great idea to have Veterans nominate a local Veteran to receive this award. After a short time, we realized that we had unwittingly limited the participation for this project and we opened up the nominating process to anyone who wished to recognize a needful Veteran.
Even though we made that change, it was a little bit too late and we ended up receiving no nominations. Not one at all.
We realize now that this was an error on our part. We will try this program again some time in the new year. In the meantime, thank you to all of our friends, family and fans who shared this information with others.
Sincerely,
Art and Mary James

HAYS Cleaning donated cupcakes for all of the residents to enjoy. It was our way of wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!
Jim Kruse, from AdoptaPlatoon, was also on hand to collect postage donations to help send care packages to the troops. (HAYS Cleaning partners with Jim, and the St. Patricia Holy Name Society, to help send care package items to the troops. This season, HAYS is collecting Slim Jim items for the troops. Read more about that here.)
